This luxurious hand-dyed long scarf in shades of poppy red, orange and golden yellow is made from pure silk crepe de chine and has been hand dyed using the shibori technique of folding and twisting the fabric before applying the dyes.
Crepe de chine has a soft, fluid feel to it and it drapes beautifully. These hand-dyed scarves are all different, and cannot be repeated - each one is truly unique.
The scarf measures approx 58 x 16 inches (147 x 40 cm).
The silk is painted using high quality French silk dyes which are steam-fixed for intense colours and a soft, silky feel to the fabric. I have tried to reproduce the colours in the photos as accurately as possible but there will inevitably be some variation. Actual colours are usually brighter and more intense than they appear in the photos.
The scarf can be gently handwashed in cool water and ironed while still damp to remove any creases.
Shipped by Royal Mail First-Class (UK) or International Tracked.
I really enjoy seeing the different patterns that emerge when the scarves have been steamed and finally unwrapped. It's fascinating!
PLEASE NOTE: all my silk scarves are dyed individually by me by hand, so each design is unique and cannot be reproduced. They are not digitally printed copies, they are one-of-a-kind originals.
