My own cold feet started me thinking about making slippers and I wanted warm, woolly ones. These ones are very cosy and I love them. The Harris Tweed adds a bit of fun and I love using it in unusual ways like this. The strips of tweed are woven into a hessian base which is sewn onto the slippers. There's a surprising amount of tweed in this seemingly small trim!
As for my feet, I'm still trying to make a pair to keep for myself!

Chilly feet? These felted wool slippers will keep your toes cosy all winter. They are 100% wool so soft and comfortable as well as warm. I have trimmed them with a lovely Harris Tweed in red and green check which is made using a technique which is used in making rag rugs called proggy. This gives the trim its generous, shaggy look.
The slippers fit snugly round the ankle so will keep your whole foot toasty. Ideal for padding around the house or snuggling up on the sofa.
