I bought the wool used in this bag and the Harris Tweed quite separately, but seeing them together I thought how pretty they looked with each other.
Colour is very often my starting point and browsing in my favourite wool shop always sparks my imagination. Hope you like the result.

This pretty, purple handbag is made from 100% felted wool. It is trimmed on both sides with Harris Tweed in a pink and purple check which makes it unique and original. You can be sure you won't come across an identical bag.
I have lined the handbag with a purple, spotty cotton fabric and added a plain pink Harris Tweed border to the inside. This bag is individual both inside and out.
The outside trim is made using a traditional rug making technique called proggy. The Harris Tweed strips are woven into the hessian base which is then attached to the bag. This unusual feature gives you a talking point about your lovely bag!
This a very versatile handbag and looks great with jeans and a jacket and equally good with a smart dress.
