I just love these colours together. They also make me think of my best friend Gill who often wears them. So when I wanted to make a tea cosy and was looking through my stash of yarns and fabrics these two colours jumped out.
I have been experimenting with using traditional rug making techniques in smaller projects, mainly using lovely Harris tweed, and used 'proggy' to make the pompom on the tea cosy with deliciously pink Harris tweed. The tweed strips are woven through the hessian base which is then sewn onto the cosy. This is probably as small as I can go with proggy - probably!

Full description
Green and pink look great together, so I decided to combine these colours in this cute tea cosy. The body of it is felted wool with the trim made from Harris tweed.
The tea cosy has a bit less stretch than a conventionally knitted one so it is open with a button and loop fastening below the handle to make it easy to put on and take off. The button is covered with the same Harris tweed as the trim.
Size: base diameter 14cm. height 12cm (excluding tweed pompom)
