Item details
Another hat made to a pattern used to knit hats for the fishing fleet in Hull. Here I have used a more complex pattern of three colours. The two colours used for the stripes (purple and turquoise) alternate, interrupted every three stripes by a single stripe of the base colour (dark blue, also used for the ribbing and top). In order to complete a full repeat of the whole pattern (eight stripes) I carried the stripes up a little way into the shaping at the top.
