Most of my scarves up to now have had floral decoration so I thought I would try something a little bit different.

This beautifully lightweight scarf has been made using an extremely fine layer of cream coloured merino wool over a cream silk chiffon base. Brightly coloured silk fibres have been laid over the surface in a random cross hatch pattern and the whole scarf has then been nuno felted.
The nuno felting process causes the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it to produce a lovely soft, floaty scarf that drapes beautifully. Wool has only been applied to one side of this scarf leaving the underlying silk visible on the reverse and preserving its very sheer nature.
This dress length scarf measures approximately 134cm x 42cm (53" x 16.5") making it wide enough to be draped around the shoulders to be worn as a shawl or wrap.
Teamed up with any outfit smart or casual this scarf is unique and would make an ideal gift for any occasion and is supplied packaged in a lovely gift box.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring, roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (silk/wool) iron.
