a customer who, like me, suffers from anxiety disorders, asked if i could tailor one of my pencil cases for her, to discreetly contain all the "panic attack" essentials she hoards in her handbag; medications, rescue remedy, tissues, cutlery, anti bacterial wipes...
the ever so subtle blood spattered zombie nurse panic kit was born :)

freehand embroidered zombie nurses panic kit / pencil case.
this generously sized case measures approximately 26 cm wide x 16 cm (10 x 6 inches).
if, like me, you’re afflicted with a host of anxiety disorders, you'll understand the need for a "panic kit" in your handbag when going to the Outsides - something discreet to contain your medications and/or reassuring comfort items.
the olive haired zombie nurse wears pretty red floral liberty print fabric scrubs, whilst her red headed colleague wears a matching floral hat.
their eyes and lips contrast with their deathly pale linen faces, and their eyeballs are hand embroidered.
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto cotton calico, before i freehand embroider the detail (free machine embroidery).
this case is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine.
everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring it is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the purse itself is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed. (fabric paint) blood spatter may fade when washed.
it is stiffened with vilene, lined with medium weight cotton calico and has a zip fastening.
a small zombie heart charm hangs from the zip pull.
the olive green hanging loop is securely fastened.
my design is based on original drawings by Little Black Heart, and is used under licence.
