Full description
A very pretty version of a traditional granny square blanket with rosettes of pretty pastels, bordered with lilac and white.
Lovely to snuggle under as a lap blanket, use it in the car, use it on a garden bench, but, most importantly, just enjoy the cosy texture and very pretty design. Eighty one, pretty, flower-like rosettes have been crocheted from pretty pastel yarns. Each rosette has been formed into a square with two rounds of crochet in white acrylic yarn. Each square has been completed with a round of lilac acrylic yarn, which has also been used to crochet the squares together. A border has been worked in the white yarn (one round) and the lilac ( two rounds) and has been completed by a scalloped edging in the white yarn.
The blanket measures approximately 108 cm square. It is worked in a mixture of yarns mainly acrylic and cotton blend, but also including some pure wool and wool blends and I would recommend a cool wool cycle wash and dry flat.
