Full description
This is a long nuno felted scarf which is amazingly soft and lightweight and drapes beautifully.
The scarf is made using a blend of yellow shades of merino wool and bleached tussah silk fibres laid in an extremely fine layer on both sides of a yellow cotton cheesecloth base fabric. Five flowers have been added to both ends on one side of the scarf using yellow and orange merino wool. The scarf has then been nuno felted which allows the fibres to migrate through the cotton and bind with it to form a new material. Due to the fineness of the wool layer the underlying cotton cheesecloth structure is visible in places which adds interest to the scarf.
This scarf measures approximately 180cm x 35cm (71" x 14")
A real statement piece which would look great teamed up with either a smart or casual outfit. Being made from natural materials it will be warm in winter, yet cool in summer. A fabulous gift idea for any occasion.
The scarf can be hand washed in warm water, do not wring, reshape while wet and iron on cool (wool) setting. Do not tumble dry.
