I wanted a hobby, so looked into candle making, but wanted to make something quite unique and different.
Not many people make sand candles, which is why it interested me even more.
They are not easy to make as the wetness of the sand needs to be just right and so does the temperature of the wax.
The hot wax is poured into a shape made in the sand, when drying; it absorbs some of the sand, which makes the shell – lovely!
With much perseverance and using various sands and decorations, I came up with these. I hope you like them.
I am now making candle lanterns, these look great outdoors or in!

Why not brighten up your home with this Forget-Me-Not Flower Tea Light Lantern.
This lantern or hurricane candle as they are known as, has been made by dipping a water filled balloon in wax, many times.
The flowers have been dried and pressed by hand.
This lantern will look great, when lit, in the evening. The light shines through the flowers creating a relaxing glow.
One tea light is supplied with the lantern.
It measures approximately 10.5 cm’s across by 9 cm’s deep.
Wax lantern / candle safety burning instruction label included.
