My sister in law became ill and I wanted to give her something as a 'get well soon' gift. I could only think of the usual flowers and grapes. However she's a big fan of my bears and so I made her our very first Poor Paws.

Full description

Poor Paws is a 12cm mohair teddy with cotter pin joints and 4mm glass black eyes and a hand stitched nose. All our bears have belly-buttons and as they are individually made by hand no two bears are ever exactly the same. Poor Paws has his left paw in a bandage and sling. He'll make an ideal 'Get well soon' gift.

(Bandages are all removable ). He comes gift boxed and is complete with a little poem which reads

When a teddy bear feels poorly

They have a 'cure it all '

It sounds a bit far fetched I know

But they say it really does cure all

It's a little thing called a bear hug

And this is how it works

You cuddle your favourite teddy bear

And tell it where it hurts

Repeat this as often as you want

We reccomend at least twice a day

You should start feeling better

Almost straight away.

A teddy has strange powers

A magic based on love

So when your feeling out of sorts

Remember to give a bear a hug

Not intended for children under the age of eight years old due to small parts.
