My most recent conceptual collections 'OBJECT[IFICATION]' and 'Beautiful Demolition Series' consist of unique and diverse, hand manipulated slip-cast porcelain and bone china vessels.
This beautifully corrupted porcelain vessel has been slip-cast and delicatley manipulated by hand. Glaze was applied in layers to achieve these intense colours. The piece has a sanded finish and has been high-fired for a pure porcelain aesthetic.
Exhibited at Bovey Tracey, Contemporary Craft Festival, June 2015.

BEAUTIFUL DEMOLITION SERIES
My work explores the tactile and aesthetic qualities of clay, using the material aspects of clay to deliver an idealised or non-idealised forms. The pieces consist of various experiments showing the effects that tobacco has on clay, specifically how they can be used to manipulate and transform porcelain. Promoting a dematerialisation of the object as a defining factor, while retaining a sense intrigue and physicality within the object.
