I wanted to make a doll that was a cross between an american folk art doll and an art doll.

A collectable art doll made by me from my own pattern.
This beautiful doll would make a lovely collectable, she will sit or stand if propped up. There is also a loop at the back so she can hang up if you wish.
This lovely lady has been made from cotton fabric and stuffed with new polyester fibre fill. Her face has been drawn and coloured using 'Pigma' marker pens and artist quality coloured pencils. Her eyes are an enchanting green, and her cheeks are softly blushed. She was then given a couple of coats of spray fixative to seal the art work on her face. Her reddish brown hair is a soft ripply yarn with alpaca fibres mixed in.
The dress and matching bloomers are a pretty shade of sea foam green sprigged with white flowers. I choose an antique pink fabric for the bloomers that also has touches of sea foam green in the pattern. The dress has been trimmed with a strip of the bloomers fabric to give her that coordinated look! The ballet shoes were painted on with acrylic paint and trimmed with ribbon and little faux pearl beads.
Measurements: 17.5" (44 cm) from the top of the head to her heel.
Please Note: This doll is a collectable and decorative item only. Do not give this doll to a small child as it could become a choking hazard!!
