I wanted to make a doll that was a cross between an american folk art doll and an art doll.

A collectable art doll made by me from my own pattern.
This beautiful doll would make a lovely collectable, she will sit or stand if propped up. There is also a loop at the back so she can hang up if you wish.
This lovely lady has been made from cotton fabric and stuffed with new polyester fibre fill. Her face has been drawn and coloured using 'Pigma' marker pens and artist quality coloured pencils. She was then given a couple of coats of spray fixative to seal the art work on her face. Her reddish brown hair is a soft ripply yarn with alpaca fibres mixed in.
The dress and matching bloomers are a pretty shade of pink sprigged with yellow and antique pink roses. I choose antique pink for the bloomers and trimmed the dress with a strip of that fabric. The ballet shoes were painted on with acrylic paint and trimmed with ribbon and little faux pearl beads.
Measurements: 17.5" (44 cm) from the top of the head to her heel.
Please Note: This doll is a collectable and decorative item only. Do not give this doll to a small child as it could become a choking hazard!!
