Making cuffs is a particular favourite of mine. I love the way the silver slowly takes shape.
First the edges are soldered together, then the shaping is very gradual, hammering over a 'sinusoidal' stake to gently flare the edges. Working your way round the piece, then turing it round and working from the other side.
Annealing (heating) after the hammering has work hardened it, more hammering and annealing, until eventually the piece is formed to my liking.
The cuff is then cleaned and polished.
I like to leave the hammer marks, showing how the piece was hand formed
