Full description
This lime bowl is made from the wood of a local tree that was blown down in strong winds. The underside of the bowl, with its gentle curve, finishing in a small foot, has been coloured with spirit stained and sealed with a satin acrylic lacquer; it has the appearance of a matt ceramic glaze.
The inside of the bowl has been hollowed and then sanded perfectly smooth before being finished with a number of treatments of finishing oil.
The natural golden colour of the lime wood is a perfect compliment to the turquoise blues on the outside of the bowl.
