Vincent Van Gogh - Almond Blossoms - is from a collection of works completed in southern France (1888-1890) Van Gogh had a soft spot for flowering trees as they represented hope and awakening to him. This particular piece was created in celebration of his nephews birth who was named after Vincent. The japanese influence in this artwork make this piece delicately exotic yet calming.
I love the intricate detail of this print and the lovely contrast between the crisp white and sky blue tone. The high quality enables you to see every thoughtfully placed brush stroke Van Gogh created. The solid oak easel style legs are beautifully smooth and have a wonderful natural grain and I feel they assist in displaying this timeless work.

What I hope to achieve is a modern twist on 19th century artwork, enabling people to enjoy these small pieces of history in a new way.
