An original Gemini rocking chair designed by Walter S. Chenery in the 1960's and manufactured by Lurashell. The chair retains it's original maker label on the inside of the shell, and was made on 25.11.1966.
The fibreglass shell is in fantastic condition, which is very rare to find and crucial to this chair!
The original foam has been completely removed from the shell and we have fitted and shaped new foam throughout. We have then reupholstered the chair using a beautiful Bute tweed wool in a vibrant orange colour but which also has green and yellow threads. A sample of the fabric can be provided upon request.
The teak base has been cleaned and repolished and also looks fantastic, having superb grains. There are some marks at the end of one of the rockers as shown on one of the photos, but this in no way detracts from the overall look of this magnificent and funky piece.
