I began making these scarves when my parents bought me back a piece of beautiful kimono silk from Japan when they went to visit my sister who lives there. I knew I wanted to make something that would keep the fantastic designs in tact so made it into a scarf. I added the stitching and detailing and realised that that would be really popular for everyday wear or to wear for a special occasion-a real talking point. I source the material directly from Japan.
