Coo & co is a small printing studio based in Lancaster in the northwest of England. Every piece is made lovingly by artist Jenny McCabe using water based inks and using recycled map paper and book pages. My prints are stocked in gallery shops across England and shown in exhibitions throughout the year.
My work celebrates familiar British wildlife in all its shapes and forms. My practice involves drawing hundreds of sketches until I capture the right expression or pose for my subject. I then turn this into a screen in my studio darkroom. I create my prints using gestural brush marks or collages of maps and book pages to build up the layers of tones and textures, printing my messy ink drawings over the top.

Full description
Spring limited edition of prints, based on common garden visitors. Printed in an edition of only 30 prints so they are special little gems.
My prints come from my original messy ink drawing, where I try to capture the playful movement of the birds. I build up the layers of the print using brush strokes and more sketch lines till Im happy with the final print.
10x12 “ 300mg paper
3 colour screen print, made using my original pen & ink drawings and gestural brush strokes.
Each print is signed, titled and numbered by me.

Ships wrapped in cellophane with card backing to protect print in a firm card envelope so they arrive in perfect condition ready for you to frame
NB- This print comes to you unframed- the framed photograph is just to illustrate how you might want to display it.
Care of this print – the print will come to you protected in a cello bag ready for framing. I will ship your print in a strong card envelope to provide the best protection. You can frame the print as shown or inside a mount to fit a larger frame – your local framer will be able to help and advise.
Due to the nature of hand printing please be aware that there will be variation in each print and the colours may differ form you screen display slighty.
