Hello! Shipping update: I am currently only shipping to the UK. Trudi x
I spent a lot of time at The Natural History Museum in London, where I sketched the ugly, wonderful fish in the display cases. I was inspired to make a series of pictures to celebrate the amazing world in which we live!

I made the original collage by cutting out all the different elements from original, hand printed or painted paper and card. I use lino printing and mono printing techniques to create unique marks and patterns. I enjoy using these traditional techniques as they make effects you can't really achieve in any other way!
I draw some of the key elements in ink on brightly coloured paper, and colour them in gouache or acrylic or oil pastels. These elements then get cut out too, and added to the picture. Eventually I stick everything together (and usually my fingers too at this stage), and the picture is finished.
To make high quality prints, I scan the work into my iMAC and then print in my studio using genuine Canon archival inks on a high quality Canon photo printer. The paper is beautiful Bockingford inkjet watercolour paper, weight 190g, acid free. It has a slightly rough texture.
This print would be great for anyone who loves the ocean. Can you spot the sea monster lurking in the deep?
