Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Shop, where you will find textile jewellery, wall hangings, cards and more... They make a great present for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, house warmings; or as a thoughtful "thank you" gift.
SALE ITEM: was £25.00, now £14.99
A one-of-a-kind, handmade textile wall hanging in "sugared almond", pastel shades of mint green, lemon yellow, lilac, cream, pink and powder blue.
This hanging decoration is made from felt. Each individual spiral is hand cut, coiled and sewn to create a unique and colourful pattern.
The piece has a small metal hanging loop on the reverse, ready to hang on a flat-headed nail (or similar).
It will come wrapped in tissue, with a small, matching blank tag.
The wall hanging measures approx 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) in width by 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) in height by 1/2 an inch (1.2 cm) in thickness.
The decoration will be mailed out in a 100% recycled box.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
The traditional construction technique used is called 'beaded, standing wool' and dates back to as early as the 1870s. Rugs were often made with strips of worn out clothing, blankets etc.
