Beautiful hand made spindles. Each one is unique and individual, made from beautiful timbers and has been test spun.
These items is hand crafted by Enid Ashcroft, a local wood turner, here in the North East of England. They are carefully packed to reach you in perfect condition.

The design of these Turkish spindles, called 'keyhole' by their maker, is one where one leg threads through the other and the two are locked together by threading the shaft through the middle of both legs for maximum stability. This enables the spinning and removal of a balled single ready for plying or knitting straight from the spindle without having to wind off the cop.
