Full description
We are lucky enough to have a thriving flock of house sparrows frequently in our garden. At times we can count twenty in the garden at the same time, (and it's really not a big garden). This time of year is when the begin to hover just outside the window, in front of a wall covered in ivy, looking for bugs. They are wonderful to watch.
This linocut is printed in two layers, the first being a blend of lots of colours which varies every time so that each print is original. The second layer is black and adds the detail.
The image measures 16cm square and is printed on hand made hemp, banana leaf or lokta paper which measures 25cm square.
