Written by Rhiannon Davies and published in 1970 this is more of a techinical manual than anything else. It's isn't in as good condition as some of my other books and this is reflected in the price though the pages are clear and unmarked and the binding is sound.
This book contains instructions on all aspect of needlework related to making clothes although all of the techniques can be used for sewing other items. It coveres stitches, seams, edges, openings, fastenings and fullness (pleats, darts, tucks etc) along with settings, pockets and mending.
It also gives details and instructions on aspects of handstitching including some embroidery stitches.
