I love to see a line of washing blowing in the wind
I was amused by the thought of living on a windy island and having to share your washing line with the next door island!
I enjoy working with silk, it allows me to place layer upon layer and then machine embroider on top.

Full description
This wallhanging is an original design made by myself from recycled silk scarves.
I created this piece from layers of cotton and silk which I free machine embroidered onto a cotton backing
The sky was particularly heavily machine embroidered to create the idea of an impending storm.
The piece was framed with black cotton and included hanging hook,so ready to hang with a piece of dowel, or knitting needle
