I love 1950s vintage sewing patterns and wrapover dresses were really popular in this period, such as the popover dress by Claire mccardell and the walkaway dress by mccalls. I designed this pattern taking inspiration from a variety if period patterns.

I teach costume design and construction and have a passion for all things vintage! This is a hand drawn pattern for a simple, elegant dress based on vintage sewing patterns from the 1950s. It's so comfy and easy to wear with a wrap-over style that fastens simply with one button! Excellent for beginner sewists :)
This sewing pattern has been graded by hand to fit UK sizes 10-16 (US 6-12). It has been converted into a downloadable PDF. You will be receive two PDF documents when you check-out via email. The pattern includes a yardage chart, pattern lay and step-by-step instructions with photographs.
You will need to print the relevant pattern pages for your size and tile them together (ensure you set your printer to print 'actual size'). There are approximately 20-25 pages per pattern.
The patterns are designed to fit the following sizes, but are easily adaptable due to the wraparound design:
