Cushion cover vintage Sanderson William Morris "Cray " mid 80s fabric
William Morris famously said, “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
Hand sewn cushion cover made from an original 80s Sanderson William Morris cotton which has been piped in a modern apple green cotton. This fabric has been reclaimed from a curtain but there is no discernible fading that I can see and the colours are still very vibrant. The cover is lined in a matching beige linen and cotton mix fabric. All the seams have been double sewn and four stitched overlocked for strength. The cushion has a flap on the reverse for ease of opening and is embellished with five wooden buttons.
Measures approximately 18 inches / 45 cms. square.
