I wanted to produce a moody brooding piece to depart from the colourful work I usually produce. I wanted something more jagged and sharp, something beautiful and yet more dangerous.

Full description
Brooding - I wanted to paint something metallic looking, silver and sharp using jagged edges and striking shapes. I used the silver leaf to resemble sharp shards of sky scrapers. I wanted this original painting to resemble a skyline with the shards resembling a city of sorts. The dark sky at the top of the acrylic painting is supposed to resemble a storm approaching. The white and grey paint is textured as I wanted to add some life to the background and produce a moody and brooding look.I wanted this painting to be beautiful but to have a heavier mood than some of my other work.
I executed the silver leaf work in several sittings and there are 4 layers of silver leaf (imitation) on this painting.
