This amazing Aquamarine and Turquoise with Roundel Stained Glass panel incorporates a lovely transparent Turquoise hand made roundel. Its rich colours evoke the cool waters of the ocean and glows beautifully in the sun. It is totally unique and will make an interesting gift.
This one is made to order so please allow two weeks to make. Due to the nature of the glass it will be the same design and colourway, but will not be exactly the same as in the photo.
I have used best quality glass of different textures and effects, combining various shades of aquamarines, turquoise and transparent with the fabulous roundel to stunning effect.
The roundels are hand made in the traditional way. Molten glass is gathered on a ponti rod and spun between two graphite boards. When the right size is reached the roundel is broken off the rod and allowed to slowly cool in an oven, a vital glass process known as annealing. The result is a beautiful delicate looking round piece of spun glass that looks fabulous when incorporated into light catchers.
The Roundel light catcher is created using the traditional Tiffany technique and the solder is finished off with a antique silver patina. Finally, it is all polished up with carnauba wax to give everlasting shine. This is real stained glass not painted on!
Approx 18 x 15 cm (7 x 6 in), it comes ready to hang with two soldered rings and a pretty ribbon.
