I'm inspired by the wonderful floral prints of Orla Kiely and the graphic nature of floral pattern design in the 1950's. This lead me to start designing my own unique interpretations of the magical animals I told my children about in the stories I created for them at bedtime. BIrdie Birdie was the first of these creations.
