Heraldic Artist and Calligrapher in Glasgow.

I design and handpaint paint single or double initial letters in colour (or in 23c gold leaf or Palladium leaf for silver) for handmade Birthday or Wedding Anniversary gifts.

As well as handpainted letters, I also have fantasy animal cards, calligraphy placemats and a selection of calligraphy giclée art prints of sayings and quotes including a selection from JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings..

First time I painted wo initials with Thistles and Roses they were for a couple one of whom was Scottish and the other half was English, but these flowers contrast with one another so well that I am happy to gild and paint other letters with them.

Using Palladium leaf for the letters adds another lovely contrast becausee it's so shiny.

Any two initials can be made together and the roses can be a different colour if you would prefer.

Also remember to tell me the wedding or anniversary date if you would like that written below the letters and flowers design.

Two initial letters gilded in Palladium leaf (for Silver), handpainted with thistles and roses. Anniversary date written below in pale green.

ANY two letters can be gilded and painted with Thistle, Roses or ANY flowers of your choosing. Please tell me if you would like a date handwritten below the letter design and feel free to get in touch if you have any questions..

Silver leaf would tarnish over time therefore Palladium leaf has been used instead.

Red roses signify love and are for an English 'other half' and the Thistles represent strength and fortitude and are for a Scottish other half. Keeps everyone happy!

Letters and flowers are approx 38 x 78mm, gilded and handpainted onto watercolour paper 126 x 175mm (or 5 x 7"). All within a 5 x 7" double ivory mount with a 3mm dark green inside edge.

Will be posted by Royal Mail First Class to anywhere within the UK and by Royal Mail Airmail to everywhere else. Please choose a faster postal service when ordering if you need the initials faster..
