This little fellow came about because of a request by my cousin. She wanted a cute little puppy without the hassle of cleaning up after him. And so the crochet daschund was born.
This PDF contains all the instructions you’ll need to make a cute little amigurumi dog.
The dog is crocheted in a continuous spiral of stitches in a style called amigurumi.
The pattern is written in English.
You’ll need to know how to make a single crochet stitch (US) / double crochet stitch (UK)
Instructions for making the stitches are included in the pattern, as is advice for choosing yarn and hooks. A photo tutorial is included to help you shape and sew your daschund together.
Skill level: Easy to Medium
To make the sausage dog you will need:
-Body colour of your choice (and optional contrast colour) of all the same weight.
-Hook appropriate for your yarn choice.
-Toy stuffing
-Yarn needle
-2 x 9mm safety eyes
-Embroidery thread for nose and ears
-Small scraps of fabric or felt for ears. (I used a thin cotton backed with a lightweight interfacing to prevent fraying and to make it easier to handle.)
-Stitch marker or contrasting piece of yarn.
-Long pins to help with sewing.
Patterns will be sent within 24 hours of payment received. Just add a note to let me know if you would prefer UK or US instructions
