18.5 x 13.5 reduction linocut in using three different colours of ink. The first was a very subtle beige colour which you can see on the detail of the tree. The second is a gradation of mustard to yellow ochre. The third is a chocolatey brown, which is the final darkest colour you see. Using black Lawrence oil-based relief printing inks on Zerkall printmaking paper. It is from an edition of 16 and is signed and titled. Postage is free in the UK and it will be sent complete with mount which will fit into a standard 10 x 8 inch frame.
This linocut was developed from a sketch of a gnarled old tree just outside Hadleigh in Suffolk. It had ivy vines wrapping themselves round the branches and the light shining through on either side gave it a fairy-tale like quality.
