Full description
I love thistles and have used them in my work before. The colour palette is so lovely. I've used a combination of applique, using 100% wool felt, and hand embroidery. I've also added coloured seed beads which I think work really well.
The hoop is 6" in diameter and can be hung using a piece of ribbon, string, twine (whatever you want to use) which you can thread through the top of the hoop. I don't use glue on my hoops but tighten the work around the hoop and then neaten it with some hand stitching.
The hoop is finished off with a piece of purple bow tied in a ribbon.
