Full description
This lovely keepsake notebook cover has been carefully handmade from vintage linen fabric overlaid with several types of vintage lace, decorated with pieces of floral cotton, organza ribbon, braid and pearly buttons. A length of lilac grosgrain ribbon has been stitched along the spine and a narrow satin ribbon forms an attached bookmark. The back features more lace and floral fabric.
The cover is softly padded and lined with more of the floral printed cotton.
It comes complete with an A5 casebound sketchbook from Seawhite of Brighton, with 46 sheets (92 pages) of 140gsm acid-free cartridge paper. Their books are made in Britain using British paper and are renowned for their excellent quality.
I can also offer a lined notebook as an alternative to the sketchbook. Please add a note when ordering - if there is no specific request, the cover will be shipped with a sketchbook.
Whichever book you choose, it can easily be replaced with a new one when needed, or perhaps with a diary or address book.
This original cover is a one-of-a-kind piece, totally unique, and would make an ideal gift.
The cover measures approx 6.5 x 9 inches (16.5 x 23 cm) closed.
