Just a little experiment of mine which turned out rather nice if I do say so! Box is made from pine with acrylic paint to decorate. Dark green on the inside as I felt it went well with the red exterior. I also switched out the rather poor hinges and clasp for ones which suited the box a little better.
Ideal storage for knick knacks, jewellery etc. Box has been varnished to prevent paint coming off easily, nothing too glossy although you can of course re-varnish with high gloss coat if so desired.

Canvasses are nice, but I wanted to try my hand at painting something a little more substantial, that could also have a 'practical' use. I had been reading a Steven King book the night before this creation and I think some of that has maybe come through into the 'spooky' feel of this box!
