After nearly 2 years with our amazing child-minder Emma, my son was leaving and moving to pre-school. I wanted to give her a gift that would show how she was truly appreciated and important her involvement in his upbringing and been. We have so much artwork that has come home from Emma's house and more often than not it would involve his hand or footprints. I found his hand prints from when he had first joined her and a set from now, and went about creating her a cushion in navy with red hands to show how he had grown in the time with her. The hand embroidery read "Emma, thank you for helping me grow".
I thought this would be a lovely keepsake or gift for others so set about sourcing a new colour combination - grey and plum and offering it for sale. I hope you like it as much as Emma did. x

Treasure those childhood memories forever with this beautiful handmade cushion with your child's handprints appliqued as red dotty flowers on a navy cotton drill background.
There are two sets of handprints on each handprint cushion. The cushion pictured shows two siblings prints, but this could be for one child with prints from different ages. (I know I have lots of artwork made up from my children's handprints over the years!) Your child's names will be hand embroidered along one leaf.
The phrase "Thank you for helping us grow" is hand embroidered along the top of the handprint cushion as standard. For one child this would read "Thank you for helping me grow". The phrase can be preceeded by a name of choice if you require - please send me a massage when ordering.
Once ordered, you will need to send outlines of the hands you would like on the cushion, please ensure you write the name of the child on each hand. These can be sent to me in the post or scanned and sent via email.
This envelope cushion is made from a navy 100% cotton drill and measures 41x41cm (16x16inch). Please select whether you would like a microfiber or duck feather pad.
Care instructions: machine wash on a 30 delicate cycle, cool iron. Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
