High quality hand bound journal, made by using traditional bookbinding methods.
The handmade bookcloth that surrounds the covers features a lovely vintage rose floral design.
Each page of plain recycled cartridge paper within the journal has been hand cut with a paper knife.
The hand sewn spine has been sewn with a mixture of traditional stitches, long stitch and french link stitch.
For hundreds of years these types of stitching have been used. Secretly hidden beneath the covering of the spine. I've left the spine exposed to reveal the beauty of the stitches & to get a glimpse of the construction of the book.
The journal is finished with a length of double satin ribbon to wrap around and keep it firmly closed.
There are 144 pages in total (both sides)
