Full description
This lime bowl is made from the wood of a local tree that was blown down in strong winds. The outside of the bowl, with its gentle curve, finishing in a small foot, has been coloured with spirit stained and sealed with a satin acrylic lacquer. A top coat of liming wax has then been applied to the outside. The inside of the bowl has been hollowed and then sanded perfectly smooth before being finished with a number of treatments of finishing oil.
The natural golden colour of lime wood against the blue-turquoise of the outside of the bowl are a lovely compliment to one another.
An ideal gift for holding precious nik-naks and jewellery, or as a unique display piece.
