Sometimes I make up stories about the characters in my paintings. Here's this one:
Young Zadie Angel loves books. She reads all the time; while in the bath, walking to school, when eating jam doughnuts and keeps three fat books under her pillow at night, just for emergencies. Teacher asked her to recite out-loud in front of all the pupils and their parents. She wore her best blue coat with a ribbon in her hair. But the performance didn't go exactly to plan. Sticky raspberry jam glued the pages together, so her story had gaps and nothing made sense. The audience laughed! And Zelda's face turned the colour of her book.
