I adore all the different effects and textures you can get with nuno felting and decided to try making a few things (other than scarves) with the resulting fabric.

A unique and individual bag.
This bag has been made using the nuno felting technique whereby wool fibres migrate into fabric to create an amazing material.
For this bag merino wool has been nuno felted onto a cotton muslin base layer to provide strength and stability. The base colour is a blend of pinks and purples and onto the surface blocks of complimentary colours of merino wool, silk chiffon fabric pieces, mulberry silk fibres and curly wool locks have been felted. A lining of cream coloured linen style fabric has been added along with brown acrylic handles to create this fabulous bag.
The bag has a flat rectangular base measuring 15" x 4" (38cm x 10cm), it is 10" (25cm) high to the base of the handle. The handle adds a maximum of a further 3" (7.5cm) at the centre.
Perfect for use as a handbag, shopping bag, craft/knitting bag or a small overnight bag, this bag is bound to be loved by all. Most definitely one of a kind!
