Full description

This is a very unusual pendant which we have made from the bottom of an old gin bottle. The pattern is of a dragon's head, which was a symbol of the glass manufacturer who made the bottle. We found the broken bottle bottom on the beach and have tumbled it so the edges are rounded and smooth. The image of the dragon is embossed, so it catches any light from the side, and the reflection from the glass around it had a silvery look.

The pendant is 4.9 cm high, 4.1 cm wide and 6 mm thick. It comes on a 50 cm (approx. 20 inches) fine silver plate trace chain. If you would prefer a shorter or longer chain (up to 90 cm) please let us know the length you would like.

Our jewellery is made in Chudleigh, Devon, using materials we collect ourselves from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique. Because our raw materials have spent time on the seashore our products may have small imperfections, which we think is part of the charm of beach glass jewellery. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.

The pendant will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
