This is a lamp or light shade, basically a cream colour and I have decorated it with an array of multicoloured buttons and a crocheted edging.

I used PVA glue which is non flammable.

I had a tin full of lovely multicoloured buttons and wanted to find an interesting way of using them up. I had the idea of covering a plain lampshade that I had bought and used briefly. I can't describe how relaxing this was, just gluing buttons on the shade and making it look as pleasing as possible! It took a lot of time, especially as I had to wait for the glue to dry in one area before moving on. I am so happy with the result. It cheers me up every time I look at it! I will do another once I replenish my stock of buttons!
