I recently found this fabulous vintage floral cotton and as soon as I laid eyes upon it I knew it was destined to be made into a Clootielugs bird!
I have paired the gorgeous medley of colours in the floral fabric with a magenta pink felt for the bird's breast and the underside of her wings. I have given the wings a co-ordinating decorative stitched edge. Like all my birds this one has been made to confidently free-stand on legs formed from re-purposed copper wire. She is plumped with polyester toy filling and has black beaded eyes and a chirpy brown felt beak.
She measures approx 4" in length and stands a little over 3" in height.
