Linen and cotton needlebook appliqued with a cactus in Liberty fabric, with hand sewn sequin and bead "flowers". All my designs are drawn and stitched by me in my cosy sewing room in a little Northamptonshire village. Pins and needles as pictured are included, making it a gift ready to give.

I love to sew and draw so I'm naturally drawn to this freeform applique techinique, which combines both. I am often inspired by my collection of vintage china and kitchenware but sometimes other things catch my eye - in this case a cactus! It seems my son's latest obsession with bonsai, cacti and succulents is contagious!
