Hares pop up everywhere in my designs. I sit down to sketch out a design, and more often than not a little hare doodle will find its way into my sketchbook.
Etching is an interesting process which must be used with care as it involves the use of acid to eat away silver to reveal the design, but is as rewarding as it is time consuming.
The result? Wearable art!

Full description
Andromeda is another of my leaping hare designs transformed into a stunning silver brooch. She was etched into silver sheet using one of my original leaping hare designs using a process of acid etching.
Fully hallmarked at the London Assay Office, the brooch measures 5cm wide by 2cm high and is highly detailed full of graceful swirls and spirals which reflect the light and catch the eye.
Finished with a sterling silver safety brooch fitting on the reverse she comes ready to wear out of the stylish Lucylou Designs presentation box.
