An original 1960's swivel egg chair by Greaves and Thomas.
The chair has been stripped from all foam back to just the shell, and then completely refoamed. This has given the chair it's amazing shape back, and also makes it extremely comfortable!
The chair retained its original cover under the loose covers that must have been made at some point in time, and it is in fantastic condition. We decided to reuse the original covers rather than making a new cover as it is simply a perfect match for the chair and screams 1960's retro! The covers have of course been washed very carefully so they are completely clean. To make it comply with current Furniture and Furnishings Fire Safety Regulations, the chair has been covered in a fire retardant barrier cloth (calico) between the foam and the cover.
As well as being extremely stylish, this chair will have great presence in any room! It is a genuine one off item, straight from the 1960's, and you will not find one like it anywhere else!
The original Greaves and Thomas label has been retained and will be provided with the chair.
