I have loved seahorses since, as a small child, I watched with wonder the tiny creatures in my Uncle's fish tank. They have a strange, fragile beauty, and look so exotic - yet can be found in the cold and stormy waters around southern Britain. This one is loosely based on the Maned Seahorse, which is common to the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. I am so pleased they continue to be one of my most popular subjects.

The Seahorse on the cover of this A6 notebook (cut from yellow-orange, handmade Merino pre-felt) has been wet-felted onto a rare-breed “Whiteface Woodland” wool background, lightly hand-stitched for definition, then embellished with a gentle sprinkling of glass seed beads.
The Notebook is A6 (11cm x 15cm) 60gsm, 120 narrow-lined pages, tied with a mid-blue ribbon. It is a great size to slip into a handbag, and would make a lovely Christmas or Birthday gift.
Please note: this item is totally hand-felted, and so will not be as even as commercial felt. It will, however, continue to felt with handling and use, to produce a very tactile item, soft to the touch.
Your Notebook will be wrapped in acid-free tissue paper for transit, and will be posted by First Class post within 3 days of clearance of payment.
