The fascinating fact about these fibres is that the colour changes depending on the type of available light. The fibres have a two tone iridescence, it is very difficult to capture the colours, I have tried my best to photograph in sunlight and indoor without flash.
Inspired by the amazing colours of Autumn. This can be used as a brooch or a scarf closure, but would look equally good pinned to a bag.

Full description
A leaf design has been embossed into iridescent fibres in shades of copper, green, pink and gold. Several layers of contrasting felt, each hand stitched with space dyed cotton thread in complimentary shades have been added.
I have then crocheted little tendrils with the thread and carefully sewn them to the leaf. A brooch pin has been securely sewn to the back.
This leaf brooch measures approximately 8cm long by 6cm wide. Brooch comes gift wrapped in a hand crafted box which has been covered in paper with a butterfly design.
